MARSHFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS… In the spirit of the holiday season, Pre-Game Sports, the premier sporting goods retailer serving greater Marshfield, will be donating 25 percent of all sales of Marshfield apparel to Marshfield Community Christmas.
As part of screen-printing and embroidery services, Pre-Game Sports routinely produces customized t-shirts, jerseys and hats for Marshfield sports teams and organizations like Marshfield Youth Football and the Coastal Stars for example. It also does its share of Marshfield novelty shirts, currently selling a “MarshVegas” jersey. These items would all be eligible for the 25 percent donation to Marshfield Community Christmas.
“We have a tradition of giving at Pre-Game Sports. We routinely donate 10 percent of Marshfield apparel sales for local sports teams like Marshfield Youth Football. Marshfield Community Christmas, however, is a cause very near and dear to our hearts because it helps Marshfield families at what can be a very difficult time of year for some folks and that’s why we’re donating 25 percent from those sales,” said Lisa Seyffert, co-owner of Pre-Game Sports.
Established in 1979, Marshfield Community Christmas donations go towards the purchase of toys, small gifts and food gift certificates to help lonely and needy families and individuals in Marshfield celebrate the holidays. A 501c(3) charity, Marshfield Community Christmas gave gifts to more than 300 families and 800 children in the greater Marshfield community. Besides apparel for local sports teams, Pre-Game Sports carries full lines of equipment and accessories for the major sports—football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer and lacrosse—as well as other less mainstream sports, like paintball and indoor games. Pre-Game also carries fan gear for all the Boston sports teams.
Pre-Game offers skate-sharpening services as well as screen-printing and embroidery services for local sports teams and companies. Pre-Game has a “no order is too large or small” policy, which is evident in the range of customers who take advantage of this service—from Clean Harbors Environmental Services to local swimming clubs to family reunions.
An active member of the Marshfield Chamber of Commerce and heavily involved with youth organizations in the Town of Marshfield, like the Marshfield Boys & Girls Club and the Coastal Stars youth hockey program, Pre-Game Sports is located in Marshfield next to the Star Market at 26 Snow Road in Webster Square.
